« - Muizen Doctor is a video based on Whatsapp messages and voice recordings exchanged with the landlord of the apartment I live in. A few month ago a family of mice decided to settle in the ceiling above the bedroom. Solving it is another story, but it creates material - an economy around it. An economy of exchanged of material, procedure through negociations. Do you have experience with mice?
- The relation and the conversation is quite absurd. In particular the words and the formulations she uses not to hurt the mice, including through language. Yet the feeling it
creates is opposite. It mediates a relationship through the medicine and the apartment layers where the protagonists aren’t visible, quite like mice.
- The poison is the mediator used to get rid of the mice. Mice in the floor or the ceiling have their own spaces, which we can’t entirely reach and therefore we need these conveyors to access it. »
